About
The UFAC Youth Ensemble is a group of advanced ballet students, ages 13 to 21, with outstanding
achievements. This group represents our studio at outreach performances and
other events, such as international ballet competitions.
Participation in the UFAC Youth Ensemble is by invitation only and requires cross training.
The UFAC YOUTH ENSEMBLE was founded in May 2023 and their debut was at our 2023 Recital where they performed the contemporary dance piece Gravity (see photo above), choreographed by Jasmine O’Connor in collaboration with our Music Director Bill Bagby. At the same event they performed The Reckoning, another contemporary dance choreographed by Jade Katch. This piece had placed 3rd at the Youth America Grand Prix Chicago Regional, in January 2023.
Their latest achievement was at the YAGP 2024, Chicago Regional, where they performed On Me, a contemporary piece choreographed by jade Katch and they place top 6 in the Ensemble category.
